New(?) Tolkein in 2007
An AP report on CNN's web site reveals that Chrostopher Tolkein, after 30 years work, is set to release an edited version of Tolkein's unfinished tale, "The Children of Hurin." Many of the tales have been published in other collections of JRRT's work, but according to Chrostopher, the time was right:"It has seemed to me for a long time that there was a good case for presenting my father's long version of the legend of the 'Children of Hurin' as an independent work, between its own covers."
It will surely be rewarding to dig into some "new" fantasy by the master author. It also reminds me that it is about time to begin another full read of The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
